I got my first Shiba, Yoshi, from DC Kin Shibas. I cannot thank Carol and Dane enough as they have always been there to guide and support me in taking care of Yoshi. They appreciate the regular updates I gave them, and that's was when I knew they were genuinely concerned about the health and happiness of their puppies. So when it was time to get my new Shiba, Littles, there was no other choice but DC Kin. I highly recommend them.

Kumori
We adopted a beautiful black and tan Shiba Inu named Kumori at DC Kin Shibas in October 2019.We lived in Quebec City at that time and were unable to go get Kumori in Alberta. We were a little bit worried that she would have to fly alone but Carol reassured us and made sure everything went well. Since we adopted, Carol remained reachable when we had questions or worries. It felt right to adopt from this ethical and responsible breeder. Kumori is a beautiful, healthy loving dog. We would 100% adopt again at DC Kin Shibas

Zoey
We purchased our dog, Zoey, 3 years ago. From the initial contact with Carol, to picking up Zoey from Grand Prairie and even till now, we've had an amazing experience. Going thru the initial process, we recognized Carol's passion for the breed, her litters, and her care to find the right homes for her puppies. When we picked Zoey up, we got to meet her mom and grandmom and could see the fun and healthy environment they were being raise in. It is apparent how well-loved all the dogs are. Based on Carol's love and belief on raising her dogs thru Puppy Culture, we are very fortunate to have an amazing, loving, outgoing, super friendly and chill dog. We would highly recommend Carol and her Shibas.

My wife and have always loved the Shiba Inu breed. When we reached the point where we felt we were ready, we contacted Carol after finding her on the Canadian Kennel Club website. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
Carol has a passion for this breed and truly loves them. She is so knowledgeable and answered all our questions and made us feel comfortable and prepared.
I'll never forget the day we picked up our boy Frank from the airport on Feb 12th 2020. He was beautiful, crate trained and had amazing temperament from day one.
Carol even sent us a care package with all his papers, registry and all the do's and don'ts for all dog owners that was appreciated more than words can express. She even included Frank's mother's blanket!
Carol and I have kept in contact since that day , she saw how loved and cared for Frank was that in April of 2021 we welcomed another of Carol's beautiful dogs named Zoe into our home. Zoe made herself right at home as soon as she came through our door. She's an affectionate little Princess that follows me everywhere
These dogs have enriched our lives so much ..thank you Carol!
We recommend DC Kin shibas wholeheartedly and are now Shiba lovers for life.

I have been very lucky to get a puppy from DC Kin’s Shiba Inu in January 2020. I traveled to pick my puppy and had the opportunity to meet my puppies’ Grand Dam, Dam & siblings. All their dogs are family members and live in their house which is wonderful. My puppy has been amazingly socialized and stimulated; she is the fearless Shiba Inu that I have ever met. Her temperament and health are perfect! I recommend DC Kin’s Shiba Inu to any potential Shiba Inu family. They provided me with great advice and support when needed. I trust they will keep doing the same. They are truly doing their best to preserve this wonderful breed. Thank you so much to Carol & Dane for allowing me to share my life with this amazing DC Kin girl.

Phoebe
In January of 2019 we were blessed with our Phoebe girl from Carol and Dane. Having previously owned
a Shiba from a different breeder my husband was not so keen on having another. Our previous girl was
great with me but often had attitude with others. She passed away in 2018 and he was adamant that we
were not going another dog let alone another Shiba. In January I begged him to let us have a trial
weekend with Pheobe and once she got here she never left. He could not have imagined what a great
companion a shiba could be. She is our constant companion, loves to cuddle and play. She is just happy
to be here and just touching us. She does not have food anxiety or aggression and is a
wonderful sister to her Sheppard/ collie cross sister. We now live in NL and our vet and groomers are in
absolute love with her. They had all heard about the anti-social breed and cannot believe how social and
happy and loving she is. I could not imagine our lives without her and we would both absolutely
recommend anyone get their companion from Carol.

Oran
We saw his picture….
Along with my friend Judith, we contacted DCKin’s Shiba Inu’s, and Oran came home.
This little fella has been a bundle of joy since day one. He received such a good
start with Carol and family he was well underway to becoming the wonderful dog that he is.
Oran is curious about everything making it easy to introduce new activities to him and he is
willing to try anything. Alongside Judith, Oran has earned his Rally Advance and his AKC
Virtual Rally Novice titles, and he has his Open title in Barnhunt. He can add playing in scent
detection and Tricks to his list of things he has tried, too. Oran shares home with two shelties, another Shiba
Inu, three cats and a myriad of boarding dogs, and he believes all to be his playmates.
Thank you DCKin’s Shiba Inu’s for a healthy, happy, well adjusted pup. He came with the
foundation upon which a future of fun and excitement can grow.

Jiro
Carol was absolutely fantastic from the moment we contacted her before her litter was born all through our pups early days. We were so at ease knowing that she vetted her potential clients and made sure they were a fit for Shibas personality and each individual pups. We had semi weekly video chats with her with the ability to see how our future little guy was progressing. Her dedication to the puppy culture process helps their success and well being.
We flew from Toronto to Edmonton where she met us at our hotel to deliver our lovely angel and she still stayed behind to ensure that we were bonding with our little guy. Jiro, our fluffy joys name, immediately fell asleep in our arms and played with us. He is so well balanced and easy going. DC Kin Shibas was not our first Shiba but without a doubt was the best breeder we have had experience with.
